The Davis-Monthan AFB vehicle maintenance facility is a design /build project. The facility was designed to perform a full range of maintenance and repair services on approximately 1,080 vehicles assigned to Davis-Monthan AFB. Many of the specialized vehicles required unique maintenance capabilities.
“State of the Art” vehicle lubrication, mechanical, electrical and communications systems were incorporated into the design of the project to create the most modern Air Force Vehicle Maintenance facility to date. Typical vehicles serviced ranged from sedans to buses, and semi-tractors as well as from forklifts and road graders to 55-ton aircraft towing vehicles. The facility consisted of a 50,000 square foot pre-engineered metal building.
