The spirit and heritage of the southwest is an important element for the Western National Parks Association (WNPA) as they promote the educational and scientific activities of the National Parks Service and produce park-related publications. The design concept revolves around the kiva, a reminder of the ancient structures in several of the parks served by WNPA. The resulting 15,000 square foot complex includes administrative offices, a warehouse, the kiva training/conference center and a retail store which can also be used as another training element.
