Native Seeds / SEARCH Conservation Center

The conservation center is located at the Brandi Fenton Memorial Park in Tucson, Arizona, the location of one of the first Mormon farming areas in Southern Arizona.  The combination of the site’s history and Native Seeds S.E.A.R.C.H’s (NSS) mission, allowed us to create a design that respects the site’s history and reflects NSS’s mission. Sustainable design aspects include, use of solar panels, natural daylighting, recycled materials, north south orientation for solar gain, and water harvesting.  This facility houses seeds in a controlled environment provides space for researching the seeds in their collection, open and closed offices for their administrative needs, a conference/library area and a volunteer/staff lounge area.

If you would like to learn more about NSS, we encourage you to visit their website at www.nativeseeds.org.
