How We Use BIM
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is rapidly changing the world of architectural design and documentation. At TAC, we utilize this software tool on every project we undertake. It allows us to build virtual 3-D models we can explore and manipulate, facilitating better understanding of the interactions between spaces and the relationships between the materials utilized and systems created. BIM software uses a database to generate a digital 3-D image and create building plans. BIM can virtually “build”, view and test a facility. This flexibility and true modeling of components allows us to make necessary revisions, and assemble details with more accuracy. This software contains rich data that we utilize for design, clash detection, cost, schedule and specifications. All of our production staff currently know how to use Revit to create quality documents.
