Kegan Tom, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP

Principal, Project Manager, Designer

As President of The Architecture Company, Kegan provides oversight of marketing, production and design.  She grew up immersed in the business and practice of architecture and has worked on a wide range of projects sizes and types, including healthcare, multi-family, retail, industrial, commercial, recreational and historic projects.  She has worked on many sustainable projects and has completed a LEED Platinum project.

Kegan began her university education in civil engineering and followed her passion for design.  She received her Bachelors of Architecture, Cum Laude, Alpha Rho Chi, from the University of Arizona. 

Her leadership and technology skills blended with a strong architectural foundation forms the basis for the inspiration she brings to the firm.

Richard Fe Tom, AIA, NCARB

Principal, Lead Designer

“Fe” was the original founder of the firm and has more than 35 years of experience with cultural, master planning, educational, commercial, industrial, recreational and historic facilities. He is skillful and talented as a master planner, programmer, designer, and project manager. With degrees and practical work experience in both mechanical engineering and architecture, Fe is able to effectively communicate and understand engineering systems in terms of architectural solutions. His management of the design process and continuous quality control help achieve projects that exceed expectations for budget control, schedule compliance and functionality.

Recognized for his designs and his ability to bring diverse groups and ideas together to create great architecture that is functional, in or under budget and on schedule Fe has created designs that clients are proud to work and live in.

Jean-Luc Cuisinier, AIA, NCARB

Designer, Fabricator, Construction Admistr

Jean-Luc’s initial exposure to the world of design and build began by working in the construction industry in the early 1990’s.  In 2002, he followed his goal to become an architect and has since designed healthcare, offices, historic renovations and retail facilities that range from small to complex facilities. Jean-Luc joined The Architecture Company in 2009.   He has solid technical knowledge and an understanding for the constructability of our designs.  His construction experience taught him skills in communicating between job superintendants and the owners when issues arise.  He received his Bachelors of Architecture, Cum Laude from the University of Arizona and an Electrical Engineering Degree from Lycee Professional Alfred Hutinel in Cannes, France.  Jean-Luc is fluent in French and English.


Danielle Salazar

Job Captain, Architectural Designer

Danielle's initial exposure to the design world came from visiting her Dad's civil engineering office. Playing with early versions of Autocad and blueprints inspired her to dive into the design world. Danielle recieved her Bachelors of Architecture from The University of Arizona. While in school, she worked for the public outreach arm of the College of Architecture, working on affordable housing and planning projects, earning the Service Award upon graduation. During her time with The Architecture Company, she has worked on a wide range of projects including educational, multi-family housing, animal care facilities, historic, public and commercial projects. Danielle’s ability to problem solve and being a team player allows her to participate in all phases of projects, from marketing through construction.

Bernard Buford

Specifications, Cost Estimating

Bernard has been in the architectural profession since 1985.  Ten years of his professional experience was with the United States Air Force as a Project Manager with the 65th Civil Engineering Squadron.  He learned Cost Analysis/Estimating while working for a General Contractor.  Eighteen years ago he joined The Architecture Company and has honed his specialty skills of specifications and probable cost estimating. He has worked on a variety of projects ranging from industrial, multi-family housing, military base facilities, office, educational facilities, Native American and rural community projects.  Bernard performs probable cost estimates for our projects as well as being assigned as Project Manager and Construction Administrator.  His ability to work with General Contractors and the Owners has resulted in significant cost savings to projects.  He received his Bachelors of Architecture from the University of Arizona and his Masters of Public Administration from Troy State University.

Nancy Tom

Director, Chief Administrative Officer

Nancy was one of the founding principals and is responsible for the oversight of a broad range of personnel and project management functions which include operations management, business development, proposal management, contract administration, human resources, and financial administration. She is key in the creation and development of marketing and diversified business strategies and is instrumental in ensuring that the proper resources are available to successfully complete all contract and project deliverables.

Prior to starting with The Architecture Company, Nancy was a registered clinical dietitian for 7 years, an acting chief dietitian and lecturer/author of nutrition education for drug and alcohol rehabilitation and teen psychiatric treatment programs.  Nancy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from Arizona State University and her Master of Science in Dietetics from the University of Arizona with a focus on nutrition analysis and education. Throughout her business practice, she has taken numerous seminars to continually hone her business knowledge and management skills in response to an architectural practice.
